Simple Chicken Dum Biryani
You'll need
- 500 g chicken
- 2 cups basmati rice, soaked
- 1 tbsp Imamdasta Biryani Masala (Whole)
- ½ cup curd, 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp Imamdasta Kashmiri Mirch Powder
- 2 onions, fried golden; mint, ghee, salt
The method

Marinate
Marinate chicken with curd, ginger-garlic paste, Kashmiri Mirch, salt and half the fried onions for an hour.

Par-boil the rice
Boil water with half the Imamdasta Biryani Masala and salt, cook rice until 70% done and drain.

Cook the chicken
Heat ghee, add the remaining whole spices, then the chicken. Cook until almost done.

Layer & dum
Layer rice over the chicken, top with fried onions, mint and ghee. Seal and cook on the lowest heat for 20 minutes.
To serve: Serve with raita and salan.
